Rosario Hernandez

Hi, my name is Rosario Hernandez. I’m a proud Mexican American, a devoted mom of two amazing kids. I come from a hard working immigrant family that has achieved the American dream of humbly starting businesses from the bottom up. That has worked their way up from pure hard work and great ethics. That has taught me hard work, resilience, and determination. I’ve learned since a young age from my father that everything is possible in life if you truly want it. No excuses. Not even the lack of money will stop you from achieving your goals because you will do anything to achieve them, because you want it  that bad. I am someone who finds joy in the little things—like Sunday mornings at church with my family, movie nights with an XL popcorn on the side, and that first sip of steaming hot coffee to start the day.

I also enjoy serving at our church and being in community with our friends and family.

Coffee isn’t just a drink for me—it’s a way to connect with people. That’s why we started Mi Cafecito con un Poco de Chisme, a coffee trailer serving the Phoenix community. I love making coffee and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. We believe that every person who stops by is important, and we take pride in being part of their morning routine.

Whether it’s in business or in life, I believe in uplifting others, leading with kindness, and always striving to be the best version of myself—just as I encourage my kids to do every day.

Sam Alvarez

My name is Sam Alvarez, and above all, I’m a family man. I have two amazing sons, Jacob (11) and JJ (20), who inspire me every day. Born and raised in Arizona, I grew up playing wrestling, basketball, and football—sports that taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of teamwork.

I come from a single-mom family, raised alongside my older brother, older sister, and younger sister. Life wasn’t always easy, but my mom’s strength and determination shaped who I am today. Though my father wasn’t always present in my childhood, we later built a strong bond, and he became one of my best friends.

For the past decade, I’ve worked as an insurance agent, helping families protect their homes, cars, and futures. But my passion for community goes beyond business. My partner and I own Mi Cafesito, a coffee trailer in Phoenix where we blend our Mexican culture with high-quality coffee and pan dulce. Mi Cafesito isn’t just about serving great coffee—it’s about creating opportunities for hardworking individuals who take pride in customer service and being part of something bigger.

Outside of business, I dedicate my time to coaching and mentoring. I serve as a 6th-grade coach in my church’s youth ministry and have coached both football and basketball. I believe in pouring into the next generation, helping kids and young adults become the best versions of themselves.

My dream is to create a foundation that supports low-income families by providing resources for kids who want to play sports but can’t afford it. I also want to help young entrepreneurs develop the skills they need to start their own businesses and chase their dreams.

Life isn’t always easy, but I believe in pushing forward no matter what. My favorite quote sums it up perfectly:
“It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” – Rocky Balboa.

Whether it’s through Mi Cafesito, coaching, or community work, my goal is simple—to serve, uplift, and help people grow their roots in life.

About Us

We established Rooted Realty Investments right here in Phoenix, Arizona, to support our communities across the valley. My name is Sam Alvarez, and along with my partner Rosario Hernandez, we come from different backgrounds, but our shared experience has brought us together.

I was born in Phoenix, while Rosario was born in Guerrero, Mexico. Our families both migrated from Mexico and built their lives here in Arizona, but our worlds were always miles apart. Despite our different upbringings, one thing we shared was the responsibility of being the translators for our Spanish-speaking parents at a very young age.

From doctor’s appointments to school conferences and even dealing with lawyers, we were just 10-year-olds thrown into the role of translating for our parents—navigating the challenges of being the bridge between our families and the world around us. We know we’re not the only ones who grew up this way.

That’s why we founded Rooted Realty Investments—to help families like ours. Whether it’s a language barrier or simply not knowing what resources are available when life throws you a curveball, we’re here to support you.

We know that hiring a realtor isn’t always the best option for everyone because of high fees, long wait times, or other concerns. That’s where we come in. As a family-owned business based right here in Phoenix, we’ve experienced many of the same challenges people face—whether it’s dealing with pre-foreclosure, divorce, inheriting a home, or transitioning into senior living.

Our mission is simple: we want to be the local real estate company you can trust, offering solutions that will help get your family firmly rooted again. We understand what you’re going through because we’ve been there too. Let us help you find the solution that’s right for you and your family.

Mission Statement for Rooted Realty Investments

At Rooted Realty Investments, we’re more than just a business—we’re a family. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service that makes you feel like you’re working with people who truly care. We believe that the roots of a tree represent the foundation of a family, and when life throws a challenge your way, we’re here to help you get your roots firmly planted again. We don’t just buy and sell homes; we offer real solutions that help families overcome obstacles, so they can continue to grow their strong rooted tree for years to come.
